8-30-21 THOUGHTS
That the Glorious God of heaven and earth listens to us individually is a marvelous testimony to His love. Each of us matters! God desires our prayers! Michael began yesterday’s lesson with a caution. Do not hurry into the HOLY! I am thinking on that this morning as I consider my praying to God!
Ps 4:1-8 :Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Be gracious to me and hear my prayer. 2 O sons of men, how long will my honor become a reproach? How long will you love what is worthless and aim at deception? Selah.
3 But know that the LORD has set apart the godly man for Himself; The LORD hears when I call to Him. 4 Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. 5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in the LORD. 6 Many are saying, "Who will show us any good?" Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O LORD! 7 You have put gladness in my heart, More than when their grain and new wine abound. 8 In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety.
Ps 5:1-4 Give ear to my words, O LORD, Consider my groaning. 2 Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, For to You I pray. 3 In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch. 4 For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; No evil dwells with You.
My Prayer:
Bring us humbly into your presence O God. May we, as the created, ever see our place before you our Creator. Thank you for listening to us. Open the paths of our words that our hearts may be laid bare before you. As children, teach us to rejoice in our being in your presence. May we closely abide with you at all times. Teach us to be still. We desire to be in heaven with you eternally O Lord God. Direct our steps this day. In Jesus precious name Amen
